WHY, WHY, WHY?
Morning all,
Am I crazy? Why cant I stop weighing myself. I step on the scale like 6 to 7 times a day. Even when my weight was going the wrong way I did so. I go to the potty I step on the scale, I walk past the bathroom and just go in to step on it.
What the heck is that all about? And sometimes I am nervous when I weigh is that excitement or anxiety?
HELP ME SOMEBODY?
I totally understand. I think I have already weighed myself like three times today. Hmmm maybe it is because I can see my scale….it is in my bedroom and it is readily accesible. I think I am gonna hide it in the linen closest until Saturday.

I agree with iffer753 mine is in my bedroom close to my dresser anytime i goe in my room and see it i get on. sometimes it ends up messing up my day becouse I will get on it and it will say im up and then i get mad at myself… but by my normal weigh in its down and I end up losing a pound. So I think I will copy what she said and put it up till Saterday(weighin day)Maybe its becouse we are trying so hard we want to get on and have the scale reconfirm it.

Don’t feel bad. Just go with it. I weigh myself once a day (morning), and sometimes in the evening. Humans are just crazy creatures and it is not difficult to form a habit. If you find your joy in stepping on the scale four times day, then do it. Just do not let it discourage you if you do not see the numbers you want. One day it will shock you in the right way. Have a good one!
I was so obsessive about weighing myself I got rid of my scale. Sold it at a yard sale. And it was a good doctor’s scale, with the sliding weights. I loved that scale. ((sigh)) Too much. My husband was the one who pointed out to me that ‘the scale’ was ruling my moods. Now my Heartbreaker teammates know me as ‘the streak’ because every Saturday morning I go to my daughter’s house (she lives right across the driveway) to weigh myself. Before breakfast, after going potty and stark naked. lol Really, I don’t take my clothes off ’til I’m safely shut in her bathroom.

ps.. I’ve been doing this for two years, and I still miss my big, strong scale, even though he let me down so many times.

There are bags and bags of chocolate in my house, but I do not know where they are. My hubby keeps them hidden for me…and gives me a couple when I really want one. If I could get to them, I would eat he whole bag in one day!
Can you say compulsive over eater???

Are you like me where you want to see results right away sometimes? That’s why I used to weigh myself all the time. I wanted to lose weight and I wanted it now! lol Now I weigh myself once a day and that’s the morning. I know some people weigh once a week but I do it daily just so that it keeps me in check. And I weigh in the morning only when I’m at my lightest. Be honest with yourself that the weight won’t come off right away and that weighing yourself every chance you get is not going to help you or the weight loss and it will only mess with your head. This is going to be a long process but you can succeed! Don’t let the scale and weighing often discourage you or mess with your head. Just stay the course and fight for it! Good luck!
Lol, Sandy!! I try and limit myself to once a week, but don’t always stick with that. Try measuring yourself instead. Hang in there.
